Back Page: The Ultimate Ultimate Fighting Championship

Sometimes these coming up with these Back Page is like pulling teeth. A bunch of us, including Justin, photographer Dylan Brucie and myself lock ourselves in a room and try to think of what we can make fun of in one big gag. I honestly don’t remember how long the meeting for this “Vs. Video Game” parody took, but once we did, we ran with it, tossing out ideas for toys and properties to show off based on existing crossover franchises and whatever other craziness we could think of. And we got most of them in, only being limited by our toy library (we originally wanted to include Army Ants). Jairo did a great job designing the whole thing with the logos laid out how they are. We’re really happy with the finished product and wish we could actually play this game! Who doesn’t love team ups? I guess we’ll just have to settle for DC Universe vs. Mortal Kombat. GET OVER HERE!

Official TTT Wallpapers

Do they even call them wallpapers anymore? Well, I’m not sure, but now’s your chance to download the very first official Twisted ToyFare Theatre backgrounds/wallpapers. Not really sure how these dashingly manly movie men fit in with ToyFare or TTT? Well, then check out ToyFare #133’s TTT entitled “The Rambo Connection Part 1″ (of 3!). Our intrepid designer Jairo slapped these babies together and we liked them so much that we figured we’d pass the Manly Men of Action class photos on to you. So just click the thumbnail, download and enjoy!

Here we have the group from the ’60s which includes (from left) Steve McQueen, Charlton Heston, Lee Marvin and Sean Connery

And now the Manly Men of Action from the 1970s. We’ve got (again from left) Chuck Norris, Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds and Deathwish himself Charles Bronson.

Finally, the heroes of our story, the Manly Men of Action from the ’80s AND ’90s Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger (you know when you’ve worked here too long by the fact that you can spell that last name correctly on the first try).

Stay tuned to ToyFare for the future insallments of “The Rambo Connection” and keep your eyes glued to FarePlay for even more action movie goodness, including a recommended watching list for you to enjoy these strips even more.
